This polyurethane mortar flooring project for a hotel kitchen and back-of-house area is located in Hefei, Anhui, with a total installation area of approximately 1,800 m². The flooring is mainly applied in kitchen operation areas, food preparation zones, washing and sanitation areas, meal preparation spaces and back-of-house corridors. These areas are regularly exposed to water, oil, cleaning agents and frequent foot traffic, requiring high levels of slip resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and easy maintenance. A polyurethane mortar flooring system was installed throughout the project. Before installation, the substrate was ground, cleaned, locally repaired and treated around drainage areas to ensure suitable conditions for the flooring system. During application, particular attention was given to system thickness, surface slip resistance, wall-edge finishing and details around drainage channels to improve long-term stability in kitchen and back-of-house areas. The completed floor provides good slip resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, impact resistance and easy cleaning, meeting the demands of high-frequency hotel kitchen operations and daily maintenance while improving overall cleanliness and safety in back-of-house areas.
